Pass, Cut and Replace
Three players at the top and both wings learn the first rule of motion offense: pass, cut hard to the basket, and fill the open spot. Whoever is next to the empty spot fills it, so the floor is balanced again before the next pass.

Coaching points
- Never pass and stand: every pass is followed by a hard cut.
- Cut all the way to the rim with a hand up as a target.
- Fill the empty spot facing the ball, hands ready to catch.
- Keep 4 to 5 metres between players; outside the arc until you cut.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
1 passes to 2 and cuts hard to the rim, hand up as a target. No return pass: 3 fills the top, and 1 empties out to the open wing on the far side.
- 1 passes to 2
- 1 cuts to the rim
- 1 cuts to the right wing
- 3 cuts to the top
2Phase 2
2 passes up to 3 at the top. The other two spots are filled, so 2 cuts to the rim and replaces himself on the same wing.
- 2 passes to 3
- 2 cuts
- 2 cuts to the left wing
3Phase 3
3 passes to 1 on the right wing and cuts. 2 fills the top this time.
- 3 passes to 1
- 3 cuts
- 2 cuts to the top
4Phase 4
Finish: 1 hits the cutter with a bounce pass for the layup. Then start again from the top.
- 1 passes to 3
- 3 shoots
Variations
- Extra players line up behind the wings and step in when a cutter clears out.
- Keep it going for a set number of passes before the layup.
- Five out: the corners lift to the wings when a wing fills the top.
