Drive, Help, Dump-Off
Two-on-two: a guard on the wing and a post player on the weak-side block. The guard beats his man baseline. If the post defender steps over to help, the post slides to the dunker spot for the dump-off pass; if he stays home, the guard finishes himself.

Coaching points
- The driver keeps his eyes on the help defender, not on the rim.
- Post player: when your man helps, slide to the dunker spot behind him with hands ready.
- Dump-off pass is short and low, a bounce or a flip, delivered before the driver leaves the floor.
- No help means score: finish strong and don't pass out of a layup.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Read 1: G beats XG baseline. XP steps across to stop him, so P slides along the baseline to the dunker spot behind the help, and G dumps it off.
- G dribbles to the right dunker
- XG cuts to the right short corner
- XP cuts to the right block
- P cuts to the left dunker
- G passes to P
- P shoots
2Phase 2
Read 2: XP stays home on P. Nobody stops the ball, so G keeps going and finishes; P holds his spot for the rebound.
- G dribbles to the right block
- G shoots
- XG cuts to the right short corner
- XP cuts to the left block
Variations
- Defense plays live and chooses; offense scores two for a correct read.
- Middle drive version: the post seals his help man for a lob or a dump-off.
- Add a weak-side shooter in the corner for a 3-on-3 drive and kick.
