2-on-1 Reads
Two attackers come from half court against one defender at the free-throw line. The ball handler drives straight at the rim until the defender commits: if he stops the ball, pass to the teammate cutting to the rim; if he stays with the cutter, finish yourself.

Coaching points
- Attack the rim, not the defender: make him decide.
- Pass only when he commits to the ball; a pass too early lets him guard both.
- The wing stays wide until the free-throw line, then cuts at 45 degrees to the rim.
- Bounce pass past the defender's hip, on time, so the cutter catches in stride.
Phase by phase

- B passes to W
- W shoots
2Phase 2
Read 2: same start, but X sinks toward the cutter. Nobody stops the ball, so B keeps going and finishes; W stays wide for the rebound.
- B dribbles
- B shoots
- W cuts to the right block
- X cuts
Variations
- Defender may fake and recover to test the reads.
- Start from full court so the attack arrives at speed.
- Add a chasing defender from half court: score before he gets back.
