Bull in the Ring
Six passers in a ring around the top of the key, two defenders inside. Passers may pivot but not move or dribble, and may never pass to the player right next to them. A deflection sends the passer into the middle and the defender out to the ring.

Coaching points
- Fake a pass to move the defender's hands, then pass where they were.
- Pivot to open a passing lane; the pivot foot stays down.
- No lobs over the defenders: bounce and push passes through the gaps.
- Defenders: active hands on the ball, sprint to the next receiver.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
X1 rushes the ball. 1 pivots away, fakes high and bounces it across the ring to 4. Never to a neighbour.
- X1 cuts to the top
- 1 passes to 4
- X2 cuts to the nail
2Phase 2
X2 closes on 4. 4 can't pass to 3 or 5, so a pass fake one way and the ball goes to 6.
- 4 passes to 6
- X1 cuts
3Phase 3
6 rushes his pass without a fake and X1 gets a hand on it: 6 goes into the middle, X1 takes his place in the ring.
- 6 passes to X1
- 6 cuts to the top
- X1 cuts
Variations
- Swap the defenders every minute or two instead of waiting for a touch.
- One defender for beginners, two once the passers can handle it.
