Elbow-to-Elbow Shooting
A shooter and a rebounder. The shooter fakes away and cuts from one elbow to the other, catches the pass as he arrives and shoots; the partner rebounds and feeds him going back the other way. Ten shots, then switch.

Coaching points
- Sell the fake, then cut hard: the shooter is moving when the ball arrives.
- Inside foot down first, so the body is already turned to the rim.
- Hands ready as a target before the catch.
- Rise and land on the same spot; drifting sideways means a miss left or right.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Fake toward the top, then cut to the right elbow. The pass arrives as you get there: inside (left) foot down, square up, shoot.
- S cuts to the right elbow
- R passes to S
- S shoots
2Phase 2
R rebounds and feeds straight away. Back to the left elbow: now the right foot is the inside foot. No drifting sideways in the air.
- S cuts to the left elbow
- R passes to S
- S shoots
Variations
- Three players, two balls, one minute: make 15 of 25 or go again.
- Shot fake on the catch, one dribble into the lane and a short jumper.
- Elbow to wing and back for a longer cut.
