Chair Curl Shooting
A chair on each elbow stands in for the screener. The shooter curls tight around one chair, catches from the coach at the top and rises into a jumper, then gets back under the rim and curls the other chair.

Coaching points
- Run the curl hard and tight; drift wide and the screen screens nobody.
- Inside foot down first on the catch (1-2 step), toes, knees and shoulders to the rim.
- Show a target with both hands before the ball arrives.
- Same shot every rep: hold the follow-through until the ball reaches the rim.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Walk your man into the chair, then curl tight around it: shoulder brushing the chair, hands ready.
- 1 cuts to the nail
- C passes to 1
- 1 shoots
2Phase 2
Back under the rim and curl the left chair. Inside foot down first on the catch, shoulders square before you rise.
- 1 cuts to the left block
- 1 cuts to the nail
- C passes to 1
- 1 shoots
Variations
- Fade instead of curl: drift to the wing and catch for a three.
- Add a trailing defender so the shooter has to read curl or fade.
- Make five from each side before you rotate out.
