Euro Step Finish
Players drive from the wing at a chair standing in the lane like a help defender. They gather, take the first long step at the chair, then a second step across and around it and finish. One line on each wing, so both hands get worked.

Coaching points
- Sell the first step: it goes hard at the defender, shoulders included.
- The second step is long and lateral; it clears the defender's body, not just his hand.
- Carry the ball away from the defender, high and with both hands, between the steps.
- Two steps only after the gather; land balanced and go straight up.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Attack the chair at speed. Gather the ball with two hands, then a long first step to the baseline side of the chair that sells the drive.
- A dribbles
- A cuts to the right block
2Phase 2
Second step across and around the chair, ball swung away from it, and finish with the hand away from it, off the glass.
- A cuts
- A shoots
3Phase 3
Now the left wing: same footwork the other way, left foot first at the chair, then step across with the right.
- A cuts
- C dribbles
- C cuts to the left block
- C cuts
- C shoots
Variations
- Start without a ball: just the footwork, slowly, then with a ball.
- Coach stands in for the chair and steps one way: the player reads and goes the other way.
- Finish with a reverse layup on the far side of the rim.
