Up-and-Under
Post player on the block, a dummy as the defender between him and the rim. Catch from the coach, turn and face, sell the shot fake so the defender jumps, then step through past him and finish on the other side. Ten in a row, then the other block.

Coaching points
- The fake must look like a shot: ball to the forehead, eyes on the rim, knees still bent.
- Keep the pivot foot planted; the free foot steps through.
- Carry the ball low and away from the defender's hands during the step.
- Finish soft off the glass on the far side of the defender.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Catch on the block, pivot to face the dummy, ball up into a real-looking shot fake: eyes on the rim, legs stay bent.
- C passes to P
- P cuts
2Phase 2
The defender bites. Step through past him on the baseline side with the free foot, ball low and protected, and finish off the glass.
- P cuts to the right block
- P shoots
3Phase 3
Left block, mirrored. P rebounds and goes to the back; fast reps, full speed even when tired.
- C passes to P2
- P2 cuts to the left block
- P2 shoots
- P cuts to the right short corner
Variations
- Coach with a pad replaces the dummy and bumps on the finish.
- Live: a defender who may contest; the post chooses shot or up-and-under.
- Combine with the drop step: catch, read, pick the move.
