Dribble Gauntlet
Four defenders stand spread down the middle of the floor and may only shift a step and reach. The dribbler goes the length, makes a move at each defender, and finishes with a layup. Defenders rotate in after a few runs.

Coaching points
- Change direction before you reach the defender, not when you are already in his arms.
- Ball in the hand away from the defender; the off arm and shoulder shield it.
- Change speed as well as direction: slow into the move, explode out of it.
- Eyes up the floor the whole way, then a strong finish.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Attack each defender's front foot, then change direction away from his reach: crossover past X1, then a between-the-legs move past X2.
- A dribbles
- X1 cuts
- X2 cuts
2Phase 2
Protect the ball with the off arm and the body. Behind-the-back past X3, a hesitation past X4, and finish at the rim.
- A dribbles to the nail
- A dribbles

- X4 cuts to the nail
Variations
