Called-Move Dribble Lines
Partners along the sideline, one ball per pair. The coach calls a move; the dribbler goes across the floor with the right hand and makes the move in the middle, comes back with the left hand and makes it again, then passes to the partner. Every move twice, then the next move.

Coaching points
- Head up: read the coach's calls, not the ball.
- Sell the move with a change of speed, slow into it, fast out of it.
- Push off the outside foot coming out of the move.
- Try the hard moves too; losing the ball in practice is how you learn them.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Coach calls 'crossover'. Right hand across the floor, change of pace into the move at the middle, then explode out of it.
- A dribbles
2Phase 2
Back with the left hand, the same move in the middle. Eyes up the whole way.
- A dribbles
3Phase 3
Pass to the partner, who goes with the same move. After two trips each, the coach calls the next one.
- A passes to B
- B dribbles
Variations
- Move list: speed-to-control, in-and-out, hesitation, pull-back crossover, between the legs, behind the back, spin.
- Stutter: stop at one third and two thirds and pound the ball low for a five-count.
- Everyone with a ball from the baseline to half court and back.
