Red Light, Green Light
Everyone starts on the baseline with a ball. On 'green' they dribble up the floor, on 'red' they jump stop at once with the ball in triple threat, on 'pivot' they turn on the called foot. The diagram follows one dribbler.

Coaching points
- Small hop into the jump stop; don't jump high.
- Land with bent knees, head up, ball protected at the hip.
- Pivot foot stays glued to the floor; stay low while you turn.
- Stop the moment you hear it, not two dribbles later.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Green light: dribble forward, head up, eyes on the coach, not on the ball.
- P dribbles to the left wing
2Phase 2
Red light: jump stop on the spot, both feet land together, knees bent, ball to triple threat. Then 'pivot!': turn on the called foot without lifting it.
- P cuts
3Phase 3
Green again, now with the other hand. Keep going to half court; the coach mixes the calls so nobody can guess.
- P dribbles
Variations
- Yellow light: slow, controlled dribble.
- Weak hand only, or a crossover on every green.
- Call the pivot foot ('left foot!') and front or reverse pivot.
