Coaching points
- Same routine on every shot; the pressure comes from the count, not the clock.
- Feet set behind the line before the catch.
- Rebounder: get it out of the net fast and pass on time.
- Write the score down and beat it next week.
Phase by phase
1Phase 1
Right corner, shot one. The clock is running: two minutes.
- R passes to S
- S shoots
2Phase 2
Shot two goes in too: two in a row, so S sprints to the wing. A miss would have meant starting from zero in the corner.
- R passes to S
- S shoots
- S cuts to the right wing
3Phase 3
Wing, then top, other wing, other corner, and back the same way. The score is how many spots you clear in two minutes.
- R passes to S
- S shoots
Variations
- Younger players shoot from just inside the arc.
- Three players: two rebounders keep the ball coming faster.
- If you finish the loop, shoot from the top until time runs out.
